Three years ago, Wyndham sat down to interview the creator of a podcast who had achieved overnight success. Jake Brennan had only published three episodes of Disgraceland and had already rocketed to the top of Apple’s Most Popular charts. Since then, Brennan has produced seven seasons of his hit show, written a book, and is about to launch the spinoff series Badlands on May 5. Oh, and he’s currently nominated for a Webby (cast your vote below). Disgraceland has evolved into a goliath series in which Brennan tells true stories that expertly blend the worlds of true crime and pop music.
